Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker Endorses Vice President Kamala Harris for President
Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker officially endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for president on Monday morning, effectively solidifying her position as the Democratic frontrunner. In a statement, Pritzker expressed his pride in endorsing Harris and took the opportunity to criticize former President Donald Trump.
Pritzker stated, “I am proud to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris for president of the United States. Since I launched my first campaign for Governor in 2017, I have emphasized the importance of defeating Donald Trump at the ballot box. Trump’s actions and behavior make him unfit for the presidency, and we must work tirelessly to defeat him and his allies in November.”
Pritzker also revealed that he had spoken with Harris about his decision to delay his endorsement until Monday. He explained that he wanted to ensure a thoughtful and strategic approach to the Democratic Party’s path to victory in the upcoming election.
Additionally, Maryland Gov. Wes Moore and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, both previously considered potential contenders for the Democratic ticket, also endorsed Harris in separate statements released on Monday.
