A hit-and-run suspect led cops on a laughably slow 3-mph chase down a Florida highway â with at least four police cars trailing him at a snailâs pace as their sirens wailed, wild video shows.
Kyle McNary, 33, was allegedly first spotted kicking a passenger out of his black Kia SUV then slamming into another car and driving off on U.S. 1 near Bunnell on Sept. 25, according to the Flagler County Sheriffâs Office.
As cops signaled for him to pull over, he hit the gas â barely â and led police on the leisurely-paced pursuit, which at times slowed to just 1 mph, according to Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly.
âThis has gotta be one of the slowest ones Iâve seen in my career,â Staly told FOX 35. âItâs possibly the slowest chase in [county] history.â
McNary allegedly made several U-turns across the highway median then got stuck on ditch on the side of the road â but still refused to exit the vehicle, police said in a press release.
Cops were forced to break the window of his SUV before cuffing him on the ground and arresting him, according to police.
McNary was hit with charges for failing to stop at a crash, fleeing and eluding law enforcement, assault on an officer and other charges.
It wasnât immediately clear why he was driving so slowly.
