The Issue: Israel’s missile strike on a neighborhood in Beirut that killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.
With the killing of Hezbollah’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah, Israel has demonstrated its ability to eliminate its enemies (Time’s up on Israeli patience, Sept. 29).
We are witnessing a more assertive Israel, one that will no longer respond in a measured way. It now has the determination to assert its dominance over its adversaries.

The IDF’s strike on Hezbollah’s headquarters not only took out its leader, Nasrallah, but also several other senior commanders.
However, this action will not bring an end to the conflict. New leaders will emerge within Hezbollah, and ultimately, Iran’s proxies will continue to target Israel.

While many may not mourn Nasrallah’s death, they will mourn the repercussions of Israel’s attacks on Lebanon, which have resulted in civilian casualties and displacements. There is a fear that this strike could lead to further escalation and a larger conflict between Israel and Lebanon, resulting in more civilian casualties. It is crucial to urge for a ceasefire to prevent a potential World War III.

Israel’s elimination of Nasrallah was not an escalation in itself. The escalation began when Hezbollah attacked Israel from the north, followed by Hamas from the south. Hezbollah has since launched thousands of rockets at Israel, causing casualties and displacements.

Is there a larger strategy behind the Israel-Hezbollah conflict that is not apparent to us? Did Hezbollah anticipate and plan for Israel’s reactions to their attacks? The strike on Nasrallah may not have been impulsive but part of a broader plan.

The Issue: New statistics indicating that roughly 15,000 migrants accused of murder reside in the US.
I came across The Post’s article about the 15,000 migrant individuals accused of murder in the United States (15K+ illegal migrant killers, Sept. 28).
These criminal migrants pose a threat to America. Kamala Harris was expected to prevent this, yet it has happened. Despite this, she still aspires to become president.

The issue of the 15,000 illegal migrant individuals accused of murder and other violent crimes entering the country should be a focal point of the 2024 election.
Vice President Harris, the so-called “Border Czar,” should be held accountable for the poor border security record under her and President Biden’s administration.
The Trump campaign should run impactful ads highlighting the violent crimes committed by these illegal aliens until Election Day, similar to the successful ‘Willie Horton’ ads from the 1988 presidential election that aided George H.W. Bush’s victory.
