As I geared up to analyze President Donald J. Trump’s initial month in office, it struck me that my perspective was off.
Undoubtedly, this month has been the most groundbreaking of any modern presidency, surpassing even President Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s iconic 100 days.
The administration has effectively dismantled the left’s enforcement of DEI, wokeism, transgenderism, and other ideological causes that most Americans strongly oppose. The pace of executive orders and budget cuts has been unprecedented, resulting in the termination of entire agencies and the exposure of billions of dollars in wasteful and corrupt spending in just one month.
After years of politicians pledging to reduce the size of government, President Trump enlisted the help of Elon Musk, the world’s wealthiest man and a genius in engineering, technology, and entrepreneurial accomplishments. Together, they established a Department of Government Efficiency, with Musk assembling a talented team of young information specialists who were able to analyze government operations despite bureaucratic resistance.
The Trump-Musk partnership achieved two significant historic breakthroughs. Firstly, the DOGE identified wasteful spending, fraud, and excessively leftist expenditures, confirming the belief of the average American that government could be significantly reduced. Secondly, for the first time, an American President had an accountability system in place to ensure executive orders were promptly executed.
Each breakthrough was revolutionary in its own way.
In terms of foreign affairs, the President displayed resolute toughness, causing upheaval among European elites and governments worldwide. President Trump is reshaping the global elite system that emerged after the Cold War, forcing nations to focus on their own interests without expecting handouts or interventions. This shift has unsettled elites globally.
As a display of confidence and assertiveness, President Trump dispatched Vice President Vance to deliver speeches in Paris and Munich, akin to a “come to Jesus moment” for European elites, many of whom were offended by the Vice President’s remarks. However, some, like the Finnish leader, acknowledged the truth in Vance’s warnings.
Furthermore, President Trump has directly engaged in resolving conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine, demonstrating a commitment to peace with a tailored approach for each situation that challenges established foreign policy doctrines since the Soviet Union’s collapse.
This whirlwind of revolutionary activities and changes cannot be viewed in isolation.
Behind these breakthroughs lies nearly a decade of groundwork, beginning on June 15, 2015, when then-candidate Trump and Melania Trump descended the escalator at Trump Tower.
President Trump spearheaded the Make America Great Again movement and championed the issue of illegal immigration, ultimately defeating 15 GOP candidates and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton despite enduring relentless attacks, investigations, lawsuits, and assassination attempts. He remained steadfast in his belief that the establishment system was corrupt and needed a complete overhaul.
Fortunately, Linda McMahon and Brooke Rollins established the America First Policy Institute, working diligently over four years to pave the way for President Trump’s return and the profound changes needed in America.
This nearly decade-long effort culminated in the most extraordinary first month of any modern presidency, with more transformative initiatives on the horizon.
