Japan’s space agency JAXA successfully launches its third H3 flagship rocket, carrying the $200 million radar satellite ALOS-4. The launch took place at 12 p.m. JST on July 1 (11 p.m. ET on June 30) at Tanegashima in Japan. This launch is a reattempt after the first H3 flight last year resulted in manual destruction and the loss of another state-funded satellite.
