Johnny Wactor, aged 37, tragically lost his life in May when he was shot by a group of individuals attempting to steal the catalytic converter from his car. The incident occurred in Los Angeles, near Hope Street and Pico Boulevard, as Wactor was leaving work at the Level 8 bar/restaurant.
The Los Angeles Police Department has released surveillance photos of the suspects involved in Wactor’s murder, as well as images of the stolen vehicle they used to escape. The suspects had lifted Wactor’s car with a floor jack in an attempt to steal the catalytic converter when he approached them and was shot without provocation.
The suspects, all dressed in dark clothing, fled the scene in a stolen 2018 black, four-door Infiniti Q50 with tan-colored interior. One of the suspects had distinctive tattoos above the left eye and on the right cheek. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Wactor succumbed to his injuries.
Wactor was known for his appearances on “General Hospital,” as well as other shows like “Westworld,” “The OA,” and “NCIS.” The LAPD is urging anyone with information about the suspects to come forward and contact the Central Station at 213-486-6606 or LAPD homicide detectives at 213-996-4143 or 213-996-4173.
