Libertarian Party Nominates Chase Oliver as Presidential Candidate

Chase Oliver emerged victorious at the party convention, securing the Libertarian Party presidential nomination over former President Donald Trump and independent 2024 presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. after multiple rounds of voting. The political activist expressed his gratitude on social media, emphasizing the importance of unity within the party. He also named Mike ter Maat as his running mate. Oliver, a 37-year-old libertarian activist, has a platform that includes major cuts to the federal budget, abolition of the death penalty, closure of overseas military bases, and ceasing military support to Israel and Ukraine. President Trump acknowledged that he would have likely secured the Libertarian Party nomination if he had not been the presumptive Republican nominee.
