Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s campaign received a generous contribution of $8 million from his running mate Nicole Shanahan in April. Despite filing a suit against Meta Platforms Inc. in May, the Kennedy campaign invested heavily in internet advertising in April, spending about $276,000 on Facebook and $100,000 on Google.
