A male suspect has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a female UCLA student in her dorm room on campus.
The incident occurred at Saxon Residential Suites on De Neve Drive, east of Veteran Avenue and north of Gayley Avenue, around 2:40 a.m. on Friday. The suspect allegedly entered the room and sexually assaulted the student while she was in bed, as reported by the UCLA Police Department.
After the assault, the suspect fled in an unknown direction. The victim, a UCLA student, received medical attention at the scene.
A man matching the suspect’s description was apprehended on Le Conte Avenue, approximately a mile and a half from the crime scene, according to NBC4. He is described as a heavyset white male in his 30s with a curly beard, dressed in all black clothing and a beanie during the assault.
