The individual who tragically lost their life in a shooting east of Calgary earlier this week, which led to a shelter-in-place order for local residents, was an employee of Rocky View County.
On August 6 at noon, Strathmore RCMP officers arrived at the intersection of Range Road 282 and Township Road 250, approximately 10 kilometers east of Calgary, where they discovered two individuals shot â one fatally and the other with minor gunshot wounds.

Vehicle of Interest
Alberta RCMP has identified a white Dodge Ram stolen from Calgary as a “vehicle of interest” linked to the suspects in the murder case.
Wielgosz mentioned that investigators no longer believe the suspects are in the area and are working to identify them through video footage.
After a shelter-in-place advisory was issued following the shooting, officers searched for the suspects without success, leading to the lifting of the advisory.
Wielgosz emphasized that identifying the suspects is a top priority for the RCMP, and they are committed to leaving no stone unturned in their investigation.
