Michael Porter Jr.’s Brother Jevon Arrested for DWI
Jevon Porter, the brother of Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr., was arrested on suspicion of DWI at 1:31 a.m. on April 27 in Boone County, Missouri, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol records. He was later released on a summons.
This incident comes shortly after Michael Porter Jr.’s other brother, Coban, was sentenced to six years in prison for his involvement in a fatal car crash in Denver in January 2023.
Jontay Porter, another sibling of Michael Porter Jr., was banned for life from the NBA in April due to gambling-related violations.
Jevon, who played college basketball at Pepperdine and Loyola Marymount, averaged 16.2 points per game during his sophomore year at Pepperdine.
Loyola Marymount is currently gathering information about the matter, and Missouri State Sgt. Kyle Green stated that Jevon was initially stopped for speeding before being arrested for DWI.
Despite the issues his brothers are facing, Michael Porter Jr. remains focused on helping the Nuggets pursue another NBA title. He has been performing well, averaging 22.8 points per game with a 55.3% shooting percentage.
The Nuggets have advanced to the second round of the playoffs after eliminating the Lakers in five games and will now face the Timberwolves.
