Rep. Nancy Mace made explosive remarks in the House of Representatives, accusing her ex-fiancé and three business partners of committing “depraved” sexual crimes against herself and a dozen other women, including underage girls.
The South Carolina Republican politician revealed the shocking allegations of rape, voyeurism, and other sexual abuse after finding over 10,000 videos and photographic evidence on her former fiancé Patrick Bryant’s phone.
During her House floor speech, Mace described the disturbing content she uncovered, including nonconsensual images and videos of women and underage girls. She emphasized the premeditated and calculated exploitation of women and girls in her district.
Mace also disclosed that she found footage of an incapacitated woman being sexually assaulted, with the perpetrators recording the act as if it were a badge of honor.
She further revealed that one of the victims she identified was unaware that she had been raped until Mace discovered a video of the assault. Despite presenting no evidence during her speech, Mace is protected from legal action by the Constitution’s speech and debate clause.
Mace criticized South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson for allegedly failing to investigate the sex crime allegations promptly and claimed that he did not take witness intimidation seriously.
Bryant denied the allegations made by Mace in a statement to the New York Times.
Mace recounted her personal ordeal, including finding a video of herself undressed on Bryant’s phone, which led to physical assault and her subsequent relocation multiple times for safety.
Throughout her speech, Mace highlighted the need for stronger legislation to protect women from abuse and hold perpetrators accountable for their actions.
She criticized Wilson for his handling of the investigation and called for action to address the predators she believes are still at large in South Carolina.
Mace concluded her speech by emphasizing that her claims are based on documented facts and urged for accountability and justice for the victims.
