Newcomers to Canada and new citizens can enjoy exploring the country’s national parks for free this year.
The Canoo app is available for download on the Google Play store or Apple Store for free. However, it is restricted to individuals 18 years and older who have become Canadian citizens in the last year or permanent residents in the last five years.
New Canadians can also take advantage of a 50 percent discount on VIA Rail Canada tickets and 15 percent off Air Canada flights within Canada.

Simply tap “check-in” and input the code. Once done, a Canoo check-in card will be displayed within the app. Present the card to the venue staff for free entry. You may be required to show government-issued identification as well.
Although admission to the sites is free, there are certain expenses that Parks Canada does not cover, such as camping fees, reservation charges, a Discovery Pass, guided tours and hikes, event fees, firewood, and admission to the Canadian Rockies Hot Springs.
