A 21-year-old drunk driver crashed his pickup truck into a home in Wheatfield, New York early Saturday morning, as reported by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.
John Osetkowski collided his black full-size Ford pickup into a residence in Wheatfield in Niagara County around 2 a.m.
Following the crash, authorities arrived at the scene and removed Osetkowski and another passenger from the vehicle. Fortunately, both individuals sustained only minor injuries.
The homeowner, who was present in the house during the incident, thankfully did not sustain any injuries.
Despite the lack of injuries, the home sustained considerable structural damage, leading a building inspector to declare it uninhabitable.
Photographs released by the sheriff’s office depicted the pickup truck nearly entirely inside the home, with wood fragments and debris scattered throughout.
Investigations revealed that Osetkowski was exceeding the speed limit and failed to yield to a stop sign before crashing into the home.
Osetkowski, a resident of North Tonawanda, faced charges including driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief, and various traffic violations.
Following his arrest, he was transported to a local hospital for further treatment while in custody.
