The annual Niagara Falls Summer Fireworks series is scheduled to kick off on Friday, May 17 and will continue until Monday, Oct. 14, which is Canada’s Thanksgiving Day.
This year, the fireworks extravaganza will span 151 days, featuring over 750 minutes of nightly displays, making it a beloved tradition for both tourists and locals.
The fireworks show commences at 10 p.m. each evening and typically lasts around five minutes, with extended displays on special dates such as July 1 and 4.
The juxtaposition of the colorful water against the dark night sky, coupled with the dazzling fireworks display, offers an unforgettable experience for all spectators.
The fireworks shows are held rain or shine, with the possibility of adjustments due to windy conditions. Continuous monitoring of wind speed and direction will be conducted throughout the day, with any schedule changes promptly announced.
Looking for an elevated perspective to enjoy the fireworks spectacle? Visitors on the Canadian side can hop on the SkyWheel located on Clifton Hill. This towering observation wheel, standing at 175 feet (53 meters) above the Niagara Falls, provides panoramic views of the falls, Niagara River, and surrounding landmarks. With ride durations ranging from 8 to 12 minutes, guests have ample time to marvel at the pyrotechnics from above.
This event is organized by Niagara Falls Tourism and is supported in part by the Niagara Falls Canada Hotel Association and the Niagara Parks Commission.
