A Bronx ex-con charged with murder in gruesome slaying
An ex-con from the Bronx, Muhammad Aadil, 40, has been charged with murder in the disturbing case of Lutalo Henderson, 46, whose dismembered body parts were found in a crockpot inside an apartment in the Bronx and in a burning shopping cart in Yonkers. The incident took place in August, as reported by New York Post.
The chopped-up body parts of Lutalo Henderson were discovered in a crockpot filled with bleach at a residence on Rogers Place near East 163rd Street in Longwood. Additionally, a black bag found in the freezer was believed to contain more remains.
During the investigation, a gun and drug paraphernalia were discovered in a bedroom at the scene.
Firefighters in Yonkers found a burning cart near the Oak Street Bridge, along with a deceased individual on the sidewalk, earlier that same day. The body was later identified as Lutalo Henderson.
Authorities suspect that the remains were transported from the Bronx to Yonkers on a Metro-North train by two individuals. They got off at the Mount Vernon West station in Westchester County.
As of Friday afternoon, the NYPD could not confirm if another suspect was being sought in connection with the crime. Additionally, the relationship between Aadil and Henderson is still unconfirmed, despite them living at the same address.
Muhammad Aadil, with 11 prior arrests, faces charges of second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, criminal possession of a controlled substance, concealment of a human corpse, and criminal possession of a firearm in connection to the slaying.
Records show that Aadil has served three separate prison sentences related to drugs, dating back to 2004. His most recent sentence spanned from 2015 to 2019, with his parole expiring in February 2023.
