A tragic incident unfolded in the Bronx as a 19-year-old man, Dominic Cruz Aguilera, lost his life in a senseless act of violence over a parking spot. The perpetrator was identified as his neighbor, 45-year-old Vladimir Lopez German.
According to authorities, the confrontation began when Lopez German demanded Aguilera to move his car while the teen was at home in Morris Heights. As the argument escalated, Lopez German fatally stabbed Aguilera in the chest.
Despite being rushed to the hospital, Aguilera succumbed to his injuries. Witnesses described the harrowing scene as Aguilera stumbled to a nearby bodega in search of help.
“I kept yelling and I said, ‘He’s going to die, he’s going to die,’” recalled a bodega worker who witnessed the aftermath of the stabbing.
Aguliera’s grieving brother remembered him as a “beautiful person” and a supportive sibling.
Lopez German, an Uber driver, was apprehended and charged with murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon. This marked his first arrest, and he resided across the street from the victim.
As the community mourns the loss of Aguilera, Lopez German awaits his arraignment at Bronx Criminal Court.
