The NYPD is on the hunt for the perpetrator of a horrifying attack in the Bronx, where a woman was choked with a belt from behind and dragged unconscious between two cars to be raped. The incident was caught on camera, and the suspect’s face has been released by the police.
The attacker approached the 45-year-old victim from behind, used a belt to pull her to the ground, causing her to lose consciousness, and then sexually assaulted her between two cars. The suspect is described as wearing white sweatpants, a blue GAP sweatshirt, and a white do-rag.
The NYPD’s Special Victims Unit is investigating the violent sexual assault, and the victim is in stable condition at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln. However, she has stopped cooperating with authorities.
The suspect, who has not been caught yet, is believed to be around 5 feet 9 inches tall. The crime is part of the slightly higher number of reported rapes this year compared to the same period last year, with 511 reported rapes in the city as of May 5.
