Been engrossed in reading lately, delving into a lot of personal transformation material. Here’s a rundown of what I’ve been exploring:
Peril in Paris by Rhys Bowen β Part of a compelling series that blends historical fiction with romance. Although I thought I had read a previous installment, I couldn’t find it on my Goodreads list. Nevertheless, this series is shaping up to be a worthwhile read.
Manifesting with Alignment by Ryuu Shinoihara β While not entirely captivated by this book, it offers a unique perspective on manifesting compared to other authors in the genre. It’s a short read that presents an interesting viewpoint.
The Breakthrough Experience by John Demartini β A scientifically grounded personal transformation book that has garnered high praise from readers. While I haven’t finished it yet, many have found it inspiring.
*****Magpie by Elizabeth Day β Despite mixed reviews, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it, especially to female readers. Its innovative plot kept me engaged from start to finish.
Good Material by Dolly Alderton β A pleasant romantic read that I rated four stars. While not groundbreaking, it offers a light and enjoyable storyline.
Moving Through Parallel Worlds to Achieve Your Dreams by Kevin Michel β Delving into the concept of parallel universes, this book provides a well-presented exploration of the topic. I found it intriguing and thought-provoking.
Existential Kink: Unmask Your Shadow and Embrace Your Power by Carolynn Elliott β While this book didn’t resonate with me, it has been praised by many for its approach to embracing our shadow selves. It seems geared towards a female audience.
Winter Garden by Kristen Hannah β While not a favorite of mine, this book by Kristen Hannah offers a mix of contemporary and fairy tale elements. I rated it four stars, making it a decent choice for fans of the author.
The Five-Second Rule by Mel Robbins β An exploration of personal transformation and success, this book felt repetitive and lacked originality in my opinion.
