Restaurant company SIR Corp. is currently investigating a cybersecurity incident that has affected a portion of its information technology infrastructure.
The company has enlisted the help of cybersecurity experts to assist with containment, remediation, and investigation efforts.
SIR owns a collection of 54 restaurants in Canada, including popular establishments like Jack Astor’s Bar and Grill and Scaddabush Italian Kitchen & Bar.
Despite the incident, the company assures that its restaurants are still operating smoothly and that guest payment platforms remain secure.
The investigation is still in its early stages, and SIR plans to provide further updates as it progresses.
SIR operates its restaurants under a license from a limited partnership subsidiary of SIR Royalty Income Fund.
