An incident in Brooklyn involved an apparently homeless man who slashed two individuals after they confronted him for littering in broad daylight, according to authorities and sources.
The man, who was captured shirtless in surveillance footage, was seen going through garbage and throwing items on the ground on Garden Street near Flushing Avenue in Bushwick around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Two men, aged 59 and 28, intervened, leading to the violent altercation.
The shirtless assailant then brandished two knives and attacked the older man in the neck and the younger man in the right thigh before fleeing the scene. The injured men were transported to Woodhull Medical Center and are currently in stable condition.
A surveillance image released by The Post shows the suspect walking on the sidewalk with a black trash bag over his shoulder.
Police have not made any arrests yet, and the investigation remains ongoing.
