A youth soccer coach was sentenced to seven years in prison for molesting a 10-year-old girl who attended one of his Brooklyn sports camps — despite facing previous accusations of preying on a young player.
Stanislav Rozovsky, 52, was found guilty of first-degree sexual abuse and sentenced on Thursday.
Prosecutors revealed that Rozovsky, a coach and owner of a Marine Park youth soccer camp, enticed the victim into his van with ice cream in August 2022.
Despite the girl’s attempts to leave, Rozovsky forcibly kept her in the van, touching her inappropriately and kissing her.
He also told the girl, “I love you,” according to prosecutors.
This disturbing incident brought back memories of a 2011 case where Rozovsky was accused of molesting an 8-year-old girl on one of his youth teams.
Although the sex crime case fell through due to the victim refusing to testify, Rozovsky was sentenced to 1 to 3 years in prison for a suspended license case in July 2012.
Despite the previous allegations, Rozovsky was released after serving just five months in prison.
Court records also show that a civil case against Rozovsky for molestation and abuse in 2010 did not proceed.
Rozovsky previously operated the Dinamo NY soccer club before joining the Chelsea Premier Soccer Academy, where he served as a director.
Established in 2014, the Chelsea Premier Soccer Academy aims to provide a top-notch educational-athletic experience for all athletes.
The academy offered day and sleepaway camps in 2022, with the day camp hosting activities at various fields in south Brooklyn for $350 per week.
A photo of “Steve Rososki” on the club’s website is actually Rozovsky, who boasts 30 years of youth coaching experience and holds PhDs in clinical and sports psychology.
A parent, who had their child in Rozovsky’s program, expressed shock upon learning about his other identity and past cases.
“It’s disgusting,” the parent said. “It’s scary that someone with a prior situation was handling kids without proper background checks.”
