The teenage daughter of Slack co-founder Stewart Butterfield has gone missing and is believed to be in a dangerous neighborhood in San Francisco.
Mint Butterfield, 16, was last seen at 10 p.m. on Sunday in Bolinas, California, as reported by Marin County Sheriff spokesperson Deputy Jose Suarez.
Her mother, Flickr founder Caterina Fake, reported Mint missing on Monday, according to the San Francisco Standard.
Mint and her mother were living in Bolinas and attending a private boarding school in the Napa area at the time of her disappearance.
According to Sheriff’s officials, Mint was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, flannel pajama pants, black boots, and possibly carrying a gray suitcase.
The 5-foot-tall teen with curly, brown-red hair and pierced eyebrows is believed to have run away to the Tenderloin neighborhood in San Francisco, known for its violent crimes, homelessness, and drug activity.
Mint Butterfield has a history of substance abuse and has been known to frequent Tenderloin in the past.

Stewart Butterfield remarried Jennifer Rubio, the co-founder and CEO of luggage company Away, in 2020. They sold their San Francisco home and moved to a mansion in Aspen, Colorado.
The Aspen mansion features amenities like a 500-bottle wine cellar, six bedrooms, and a three-car garage.
Rubio and Butterfield also own a mansion in Southampton, New York, with 11 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, and an all-weather tennis court near Cooper’s Beach.
