An Illinois man faces charges for torturing and killing his 16-year-old stepson
Steven Griffin, 44, has been indicted on first-degree murder and other related charges for the fatal abuse and torture of his stepson, Daniel Garza. The horrific acts included throwing hot water on the teen, hitting him with nunchucks, stomping on his ankle, and depriving him of food and water.
The teen tragically died from blunt force trauma and starvation. He was found with burns, bruises, and fractures, weighing only 94 pounds and with a body temperature of 86 degrees.
