His speech was filled with rhetoric that sought to appeal to his base while alienating those who may disagree with him. Despite his promises of unity, Trump’s words only served to further polarize the nation.
It remains to be seen whether Trump’s actions will match his words, but for now, his divisive rhetoric continues to sow discord and division among Americans.
