Former President Trump Blames VP Harris for High Number of Illegal Immigrants Accused of Homicide
Former President Donald Trump criticized Vice President Kamala Harris on Friday for the alarming statistics that show over 15,000 illegal immigrants living in the US have been charged with or convicted of homicide. Trump, 78, referred to the federal data as the “worst numbers” he has ever heard during a town hall event in Warren, Mich., where he also criticized the Democratic nominee for president.
Trump blamed Vice President Harris for the situation, calling her “Comrade Kamala Harris” and criticizing her as incompetent. The data provided by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement to Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-Texas) revealed that there were over 660,000 noncitizens with criminal histories, including thousands convicted of homicide.
ICE is currently detaining hundreds of migrants with homicide convictions or charges, indicating potential deportation for these individuals. Trump expressed concern over the release of these individuals into the country, labeling it as “gross incompetence.”
During his town hall in Michigan, Trump also discussed his plans for implementing new tariffs if re-elected, particularly targeting Chinese automobiles manufactured in Mexico. He emphasized the potential benefits for American auto manufacturing with these tariffs in place.
Trump concluded his remarks by criticizing VP Harris for her actions on the border, highlighting her visit to the US-Mexico border as the Democratic nominee for president. He characterized her as someone who “always complains and doesn’t do anything.”
