Attendees at the Trump ally event in Glendale, Arizona shared their reactions to Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s endorsement.
Former president Donald Trump introduced Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as the “special guest” at a rally in Glendale, Arizona, shortly after Kennedy suspended his presidential campaign.
Kennedy, a former Democrat, ended his Independent candidacy on Aug. 23 due to declining polls and threw his support behind Trump for the 2024 election.
Trump praised Kennedy as a “great guy” respected by all, expressing interest in having him in his administration if he wins in November.
The rally in Glendale began at 4 p.m. and lasted over an hour, with a crowd of Trump supporters filling the Wicked Wolf bar near the arena to watch the 45th president criticize Democratic nominee Kamala Harris on large screens.
Edith Verjarcruz from Arizona expressed her excitement about Kennedy dropping out of the race, calling it a win-win for Trump’s campaign.
Trump supporter Miguel Bravo of Glendale saw Kennedy as an old-style Democrat who no longer aligned with the party’s principles.
Amman Catalan from Surprise, Arizona, saw no conflicts with Kennedy serving in a second Trump administration, noting that both men prioritize America’s best interests.
However, Joe O’Shaughnessy from Arizona believed Kennedy’s withdrawal would benefit Harris by directing votes her way.
Leno Marin from Phoenix commended Kennedy for his work with the Children’s Defense Fund and opposition to COVID-19 injections.
Marin hoped that if Trump returns to office, he would prioritize securing the border and addressing economic issues.
Bobby Favino from Arizona believed Kennedy’s support would boost Trump’s chances of winning in November.
Tina Morales from Florence, Arizona, waved a Trump flag outside the arena, confident that the 2024 election would not face the same issues as the 2020 election.
“I believe Trump has it on his side now,” Morales told The Epoch Times. “God put the right person in place. I believe that with all my heart.”
Morales expressed concern for Harris and her proposed economic measures, including the introduction of price controls at grocery stores.
“I want my milk back down to $1.99. We paid $2.30 in Florence for gas before this administration,” Morales said. “Is she talking about that? No. So that, for me, says a lot. Especially where we live,” she said.
After the rally, Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) told The Epoch Times that Kennedy’s endorsement of Trump can only help him win the election.
