According to a report from the New York Post, attorneys for Donald Trump are contemplating seeking the recusal of the judge overseeing his hush money case once again. They claim that the judge’s daughter and her Democratic consulting firm have profited significantly from the prosecution of the former president.
The judge in question is Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan, and his daughter, Loren Merchan, is the president and partner of Authentic Campaigns, a Chicago-based firm. The firm’s top clients include U.S. Senate candidate Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and the Senate Majority PAC, both of which have raised millions in campaign donations using Mr. Trump’s case in their solicitation emails.
