Former President Donald Trump and his running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio), recently brought their “Make America Safe Again” message to police departments in two key states on Aug. 20. Regarding crime data, the Trump campaign disputed the Democratic claim of a 50-year low in violent crime, suggesting that the FBI’s revamped data reporting system might be skewing the statistics. They argued that fewer reported crimes do not necessarily indicate a decrease in criminal activity.
Trump and Vance are scheduled to make joint appearances in North Carolina, Arizona, and Georgia to outline their vision for strengthening America and improving immigration policies.
