As discussed in yesterday’s article, the recent injunction states:
[1.] UCLA officials are forbidden from offering any programs, activities, or areas on campus to students if they are aware that these are not fully accessible to Jewish students.
[2.] They are also prohibited from allowing or facilitating the exclusion of Jewish students from any part of UCLA’s programs, activities, or campus areas.
[3.] By August 15, 2024, all campus security teams must be instructed not to obstruct access for Jewish students to any part of the campus.
[4.] Any exclusion of Jewish students includes those based on beliefs regarding the state of Israel.
[5.] This order does not prevent excluding Jewish students based on UCLA’s code of conduct.
[6.] This injunction will take effect on August 15, 2024, unless stayed by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
For more details on the court’s decision, check out the full article here. Appeals of preliminary injunctions are typically heard within a few months according to Ninth Circuit rules.
