The CEO of UnitedHealth was tragically shot in the chest on Wednesday morning outside the Hilton hotel in Midtown in what authorities believe was a deliberate attack.
Brian Thompson, aged 50, was present at the hotel around 6:46 a.m. when an unidentified masked individual opened fire on him and then fled in the eastbound direction off of 6th Avenue, according to police sources cited by The Post.
Thompson was quickly transported to the hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead by the authorities.
