New Video Reveals Suspect in Attempted Rape Near Gracie Mansion
A new video has surfaced showing the alleged perpetrator of a brutal attack on a teenage girl in the middle of the night in the vicinity of Gracie Mansion.
The suspect was captured on surveillance footage wandering the streets of the Upper East Side around the time a 19-year-old girl was stalked and assaulted.
Footage shared by the NYPD shows the man wearing a white shirt and holding a black umbrella as he walks along the sidewalk.
Another clip shows the same individual, now wearing a black shirt, running across a crosswalk.
In a third video, the man, described as 6 feet tall by police, stops to check his phone on the sidewalk and looks over his shoulder multiple times before walking away.
Authorities believe he is the same man who attempted to rape a young woman in the early hours of the morning near East 90th Street and East End Avenue before fleeing when a doorman intervened.
The victim was taken to New York Presbyterian Cornell Medical Center in stable condition after the attack.
