Disturbing footage from a Las Vegas high school captures several police officers carrying a violent, restrained teenager off campus while wearing a plastic-bag “spit mask” as his classmates taunt and mock him.
The student had reportedly assaulted two female classmates and continued to be aggressive when law enforcement arrived, attempting to spit on and bite the officers, as reported by KLAS 8.
Video footage of the incident shows the boy being carried away horizontally with a “spit mask” on his head to prevent him from spitting on others, as stated by the Clark County School District Police Department.
One student can be heard saying in a video, “Homie, it’s like three months in, dude,” indicating the early occurrence of a disruptive incident at the school.
In another video, students mention, “There was a kid knocked out on the floor! There was a fight,” and “The dude got tased! I’m not joking!”
The arrest took place at Las Vegas Academy of the Arts, a tuition-free magnet high school.
In a communication to parents and students, the school’s principal, Lezlie Koepp, mentioned that the altercation began with a “verbal argument,” according to KLAS 8.
