Authorities reported that an 82-year-old woman was brutally attacked by two assailants in the Bronx in what appears to be an unprovoked assault.
The incident occurred on East 212th Street and White Plains Road in Olinville at around 7 p.m. on August 2. The elderly woman was approached by a man and a woman, both strangers to her, who proceeded to physically assault her without uttering a word. They punched her multiple times, pushed her to the ground, and continued to stomp on her, according to police.
After the brutal attack, the suspects fled the scene, running east on East 212th Street towards Holland Avenue.
The elderly victim was taken to Jacobi Medical Center and is currently in stable condition.
The NYPD has released photos of the two suspects, who are still at large.
The male suspect is described as having a medium build and a dark complexion, last seen wearing a white polo shirt, blue shorts, and gray and black sneakers.
The female suspect is described as having a medium build and medium complexion, last seen wearing a black T-shirt, black shorts, white sneakers, and carrying a black cross-body bag.
