Volunteers conducted a search in various communities on the North Shore of Massachusetts on Saturday to find the remains of Harmony Montgomery, a young girl who was tragically beaten to death by her father in 2019.
Search crews focused their efforts on the 600-acre Rumney Marsh Reservation in an attempt to locate Harmony Montgomery’s body, the whereabouts of which her father has refused to disclose.
Harmony’s mother, Crystal Sorey, expressed her acceptance of the fact that her father will never do the right thing for her daughter in an interview with WCVB 5 in Boston.
Adam Montgomery, Harmony’s father, received a sentence of 45 years to life in prison for the murder of his daughter. He had hidden her body in various containers at the restaurant where he worked and later disposed of her remains without revealing the location.
Despite prosecutors offering a reduced sentence in exchange for information on Harmony’s remains, Adam Montgomery chose to remain silent.
Authorities focused their search on a specific route between Manchester and the Tobin Bridge in Boston, which Adam Montgomery had driven in a rented U-Haul in March 2020.
Crystal Sorey plans to organize monthly searches to continue looking for her missing daughter and urged anyone with information to contact the case tip line.
During the trial, it was revealed that Adam Montgomery had beaten Harmony to death in a fit of rage, then continued with his daily activities while ignoring her final cries.
Adam Montgomery was sentenced to 45 years to life in prison for his crimes, with the judge emphasizing the need to keep him off the streets due to his violent history.
Harmony went missing in 2019, but it was only discovered two years later when authorities began investigating the case.
