A Florida thief known as “Mr. Tough Guy” received a beating from a 66-year-old man after attempting to break into his truck, according to authorities.
The truck owner called 911 in the early hours of Thursday morning when he heard 29-year-old Blake Robinson trying to break into his truck outside his home in Brevard County, as per authorities.
The older man confronted Robinson, who proceeded to punch him in the head, throw him to the ground, and kick him in the head, as reported by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office on social media.
The victim fought back, hitting Robinson and bringing him to the ground, where he was apprehended by the police.
“Deputies arrived at the scene and were able to quickly detain Robinson, who seemed to be struggling to get up off the ground after getting his butt kicked by a 66-year-old man!!” Sheriff Wayne Ivey wrote on Facebook.
Robinson was taken to the hospital for treatment before being handed over to the authorities. The victim suffered minor injuries and did not require extensive medical attention.
Robinson was charged with felony battery of a person over 65 and attempted burglary of a conveyance. He was held at Brevard County Jail on a $30,000 bond.
“Robinson was fortunate to be in Brevard County where he received a few rewards for his foolish actions, including a ride to a local medical facility to tend to his injuries before being taken to his less-than-luxurious accommodations at ‘Ivey’s Iron Bar Lodge!!'” Ivey wrote in the post.
At the lodge, he was provided with a fresh 2-piece outfit to relax in before being shown to his sleeping area in the open floor plan.
Robinson received an additional charge for assaulting a person over 65 who ended up beating him up. The sheriff humorously added, “We hope you enjoy your stay at our lodge and as we like to say here in Brevard County, ‘Mess Around and Find Out!!'”
