The primary goal of this competition is to uplift and celebrate traditional arts that embody purity, authenticity, goodness, and beauty. Recently, NTD revealed the winners of its 7th International Piano Competition in New York on October 19th.

– Silver Award: Shih-Yeh Lu from Taiwan
– Bronze Award: Tang Hsing Lien from Taiwan
– Outstanding Performance Awards: Ching-Yi Lin from Taiwan and Jean-Luc Therrien from Canada
– Best Rendition Award of the Commissioned Composition: Robert Neumann from Germany and Shih-Yeh Lu from Taiwan
The competition, held at Kaufman Music Center in New York from October 14th to October 19th, is a part of NTD Television Network’s series of international cultural and arts events. Its mission remains focused on promoting traditional arts rooted in purity, authenticity, goodness, and beauty.
Aside from showcasing piano pieces from various periods, including Baroque, Classical, and Romantic, the competition also presents a special commissioned piece derived from a vocal composition by Shen Yun Performing Arts’ Artistic Director, D. F.
This year’s commissioned piece, “Holy Grace,” is a symphonic poem that features classical Chinese music for the piano. Semifinalists had the opportunity to compete for the “Best Rendition Award of the Commissioned Composition.”
